How the calculator works
- Each gap is one point. The maximum depends on the number of gaps: 100 for 4 texts of 25 gaps, 125 for 5 texts of 25 gaps.
- The calculator uses the limits exactly as the university publishes them, even where two rows overlap. It converts nothing and does not guess missing levels.
- Hohenheim’s limits come from the language centre’s course structure as of 2024.
Frequently asked questions
How many C-Test points do I need for B2?
Each university sets its own cut-offs. In Tübingen it is 65 to 74 points for B2.1, in Düsseldorf 61 to 80 points, in Hohenheim 65 to 85 points for UNIcert II (B2).
Can I use my points from one university at another?
Usually not. Tübingen and Göttingen state that they do not accept results from other institutions. The tables here only show how the same score is placed in different places.
Why does the calculator sometimes show two courses?
Some tables overlap at their limits, such as Tübingen at 85 points or Hohenheim at 65 and 85 points. The calculator then shows both rows; the language centre decides which applies.
